Spring is fickle
I'm impatient to start growing things, when the rest of the country is so far ahead and I still have almost two months to go before I can do the majority of my planting. Two weeks ago, Frère Nic and I took over our parents' plot and turned over the clay/ rock mixture, broke up the clay and liberally applied manure and topsoil. Since then it's been in the 70s and 20s. I love Pittsburgh in the springtime, when snow boots comingle with flip flops and teeshirts with winter coats, and trees bloom in the snow.
